President Cal Coolidge had a saying, “The business of America is business!” Nowadays, is Big Business any of our business? Well, I hope that by being a stockholder one can ensure ethics and profitability in the marketplace, make something on an investment and maybe even get stock dividends every quarter of each year.
I always tell my friends to purchase preferred stock rather than common stock because corporations dole out the quarterly dividends to them first. Leftover dividend funds are distributed to those with common stock.
Fridays results from the stock exchanges and board of trade are very useful in determining investment strategies for the coming week. I always prefer a Friday rally before noon (or if you are in the Aloha State, before 9:00 a.m.).
I got Teddy praying too this morning that fund managers do not “sell-off North America” today. After 90 minutes past the opening bell, I would recommend selling some over-valued securities in favor of buying good American companies’ preferred stock.
