Mid-Sunday Morn Musings From The ‘Hood

Dateline: Sunday, February 21, 2010 – 0930 hrs. PST

The Upper-Middle Class ‘Hood, North America

Please do not refer to my dog as Chicken Little but we must state that our country is out of the Recession (2007-09) and is currently in an socioeconomic Depression (2010). It did not take another stock market crash to create this Depression.

There are multiple factors that brought on our domestic depression. Let’s start with the “seven deadly sins,” federal government spending and grappling over state budgets, income and death taxes, parcel taxes, cigarette taxes, increases in bridge and freeway tolls, healthcare systems, drug companies, drug cartels, drug users, lawyers, bankers, investment fund managers, ponzi schemes, inflation, union dues, international trade inbalance, irresponsible bureaucrats, overregulation, shotty police work, terriorists, muggers and thieves, insurance companies, credit card companies, lack of quality control with goods and services sold to consumers in the marketplace, hate, anger, pride, stubbornest, selfishness, greed, and loss of the moral compass.

Teddy & I have not read the Sunday comics yet but I have parused four newspapers over coffee and tea. It is obserd what the news media is putting out to the public to read… no wonder our younger generations in North America are misinformed.

If I saw a genie today, I would ask for three wishes:

Now, I am not going to wish for world peace ’cause that is pretty impossible at this point in human history. What would you propose that I ask of the genie?
