Open Letter to California State Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto)

Enough is Enough!

Dear Senator Joe,

Please stop legislating driver safety stuff.

Stop making the same mistakes over and over.

As a Senator, you may only introduce so many bills each term… please do not waste you ability to create better legislation.

May I suggest you focus your energy on any of these state topics:

  •  California Department of Public Health
  •     and California Department of Health Services
  •  California Department of Motor Vehicles
  •  California Board of Equalization
  •  California Department of EDD

Legislators have been failing for over 107 years in attempting to legislate safety. Your recently sponsored laws are turning moms, dads, and kids into criminals.

Our state Superior Courts are overloaded with cases. Who can get a fair and speedy trial these days?

Your ideas are not only creating victimless criminals but are crowding the court calendars.

Please make better use of your time in Sacramento or step aside and let someone else do a better job representing Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Woodside, etc.

Yours truly,

D. A. Dailey, CSP
