More “Fear Mongering” By the National Media
Dateline: North America –
Some of us are wondering what all the fuss is about. Already, many state regulations and local rules prohibit operating Iphones and Blackberry texting and speaking on cell phones in cars, courtrooms, clinics, movie theatres, and during some family get-togethers.
Some of us believe that fear begets irrational decisions.
Nowadays, perhaps teens get a bad rap texting and phoning too much. As long as I have been alive, teenagers have always been criticized for being on the phone too much.
Technology ought to create more scientific living and safe decision-making. The media, Twits and FBers included, have brought forth into the public eye modern falsehoods and fear.
I believe fear is very stressful.
Safety should reassure us.
Ali at the Cable News Network asks this morning: Will the “threat of non-ionizing radiation and cancer” affect your use of cellular telephones?
What a bunch of bunk! Failure Analysis did research back in the late ’80s when more ELFs were emitted from earlier models of cell phones… the risk was considered INSIGNIFICANT, therefore not hazardous to human health.
So what is the concern these days. Talking up fear and conjecture on CNN. Repost this if you’d like and e-mail Ali at CNN “NO.” I think being interrogated by the CHP is far more hazardous.
Well, I guess it is time I hang up on this issue. Good day.
