Speaking of Blessings, Contentment, and Genuine Health

Faith and trust in God – that attitude alone – is in itself a blessing.

Classic actress Ingrid Bergman was quoted that happiness is good health and a bad memory. As Aristotle taught, “The beauty of one’s soul shines out when a man bears with composure one heavy mischance after another.”

“The Lord writes straight in crooked lines,” once said a wise woman *.

Most every aspect of life is a process, for example: education, evolution, healing, manufacturing, traveling, etc.

Possessing wealth, great health, pride, and power tend to lead fools toward atheism. People that complain likely have too much.

Therefore, give thanks for everything – in both good times and bad.

Socrates said, “He is richest who is content with the least, for content is the wealth of nature.”

“Be content with such things as ye have.”   ~ Hebrews 13:5

I have often heard that The Lord provides what we really need. If it is in the form of a crooked line, so be it.

Charles Dickens wrote, “Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”
