Election Day Hangover – Did the USA Get Its Money’s Worth? (la, dee, dah) We Got the “Blues” Moving Us Forward
OR none of this election stuff is of consequence anyway, because according to the Mayans, the end of the world is only weeks away.
Final Score = Obama-Biden 332, Romney-Ryan Red-States 206
This game ticket cost about $2,000,000,000 for campaign spending alone! There were other immeasurable costs. For instance an intangible loss that more Americans are upset and turned-off by the seemingly never ending negative TV ads and mailers, the whole Electoral College System, and memories of broken promises.
Did America get a ‘good bang for the buck’?
Well, some of us were amused and entertained by all the yapping and stupidity publically displayed.
Some of us appreciate that the recreational use of marijuana is legal in Colorado and Washington. Mass voters also approved a measure to allow the medical use of Mary Jane, similarly to what has been on the books in California for years.
Prediction: More ‘diarrhea of the mouth’ from Congresspersons and some statehouse career politicians.
The Governor – Elect of Indiana has gained national prominence on CNN pushing his viewpoints on contentious social issues. OMG, now he has a soap-box forum in Indy until 2017.
The US House of representatives remains in Republican control, whereas the US Senate and Presidency is led by Democrats.
As I have written before, I don’t think that extremist ideology becomes Middle America. Opinions are one thing
The “Crossroads of America” would be the scene of the accidents with political leaders veering too far right or left off the road. The days of Right Wing Reactionaries deserve to be littered left behind in the gutter. Bigotry, ignorance, and inequality don’t belong in the middle of the United States of America. The John Birch Society and Klu Klux Klan were more popular in Indiana than many Hoosiers are willing to admit. May more moderate political views and government principles and laws prevail in Mid-America.
John Gregg is the “common sense” choice as Indiana Governor.
The politics of fear is a key element of Tea Party ideology. Making judgments in an atmosphere of fear, often yields bad decisions. Six-term congressman Mike Pence embodies the Tea Party.

We can begin keeping a score card for Mike in these teen subject areas.

The country does not merely need more job openings but employment with decent wages and benefits. Hey America, focus on job creation (earning a paycheck above the minimum wage)! This kind of change is important. Job in-sourcing with a living wage within America really should become the norm rather than the exception!
After almost 12 years in Congress, Pence has never sponsored a bill that became law. He never has proposed a job creation bill. Well, he has another seven weeks left to work up something useful for his homie-state in the United States legislature.
Good luck Governor. There are blue, green, black, and rainbow people, like me, available to help you.
God save our United States of America!
