Holy Moley Monday – The Commonwealth of Kentucky Makes It Two In A Row
Holy Moley Monday, April 8, 2013 – In the Year of the Chinese Water Serpent
For the Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship In the ‘Lanta Dome
This marks the end of another highly anticipated Final Four and “March Madness.” Unfortunately, NCAA President Mark Emmert did not resign as recommended by the national media and many college administrators.
In about as a hard-played game as I have ever seen, the Wolverines of the Lower Michigan Peninsula and Kentucky Cardinals played as game as I have ever seen. The Wolverines and Cardinals and showed their collegiate spirit and round-ball skills.
Similarly to how the University of Louisville stole the state bird of Indiana AND the state bird of Illinois as their college mascot, the three SEC and Pac-12 referees aided the Cardinals comeback victory after losing by twelve points in the Georgia Dome.
Many sportsfans longed for a Wichita State University Shockers – Syracuse University Orangemen final.
I, for one, was wishing for a Indiana University – Stanford University final. That is, the I.U. men versus the Stanford women’s team.
The refs also seemed to take the national semifinal games on Saturday away from the players and coaches by determining the outcome during close games and close calls. For the record, both Syracuse guards were fouled-out.
Michigan did have a chance in the national final even though their star freshman center spent most of the second half on the bench with four fouls. Oh well, the University of Michigan took their star center from Chesterton, Indiana, (he might have even chosen to attend Purdue or Notre Dame) and ripped-off their star guard from Columbus, Ohio (home town of the Ohio State University Bucks).
Go figure, karma or something else.
